Welcome to Little Wild Earth!
We offer Kid’s Nature Play activities and Gatherings for families, that aim to provide emotional wellbeing and nature connection opportunities to the children. These activities also offer the opportunity to strengthen the bond between parent/guardian & child. Connection and community creation is also very important to us at Little Wild Earth.

Who is Little Wild Earth?
I’m Lisa Alexander, an Esperance local, a mother of a 4 & 6yr old and the founder of Little Wild Earth.

I’m an ex-commercial lawyer who, about 10yr ago, made some big lifestyle changes and became a Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner & Sound Therapy Practitioner. I’m passionate about helping people with their emotional wellbeing and assisting them to build health & happiness from the inside out. I aim to do this for children, by offering Nature Play, Mindfulness, Yoga & Music/Sound Therapy. I also offer Yoga, Reiki & Sound Therapy to adults.

I have a current Working With Children Check that can be sighted upon request. And I am First Aid certified.

Please see more about my WHY at the bottom of this page, and if you’d like to learn more about what Little Wild Earth offers, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
Lisa :)

CHANGES ARE COMING

As some of you may know, I started this project about 1yr ago because, after a stint of homeschooling, I fell in love with working with children in a way that encourages connection to nature and emotional wellbeing.
Over the last year, I’ve tried a few different venues, days, activities, layouts and pricing options. Some have worked and some haven’t.

A few months ago I got Shire approval to run the playgroups at my property which has cut down the amount of time & costs involved, which made it possible for me to offer the playgroups at a lower costs. But unfortunately the playgroups continue to run at a loss and I’ve needed to reassess the structure of the playgroups.

I still have a strong WHY, which is to offer children & their parents connection to nature & emotional wellbeing opportunities.

So, for term 4, the playgroups will be offered on a free or small optional donation basis, and the focus will be on community connection amongst the parents. In other words, they’ll be like a mother’s/parent’s group.

I will no longer offer activities like craft, singing, instruments, affirmation/gratitude circle, book nook, microscopes etc, since I’ve noticed that most of the children are not very interested in these activities and they’re happy to just play with the mud kitchen, water & dirt anyway.
Plus, preparing for & setting up for these activities takes a lot of time & energy, and I’ve decided to let these things go, which will make it feasible for me to offer the Parent’s Group for free.

The Parent’s Group will continue to be held at Little Wild Earth HQ, which includes the mud kitchen cafe, balancing logs, chooks, fairy garden, fruit trees & veggie patches.

I might also run a ticketed playgroup session with the extra activities & craft in the school holidays.

If you know of anyone that has a passion to run a Nature Playgroup business in Esperance please reach out as I'd love to find a way to support you.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

                                              ABOUT ME

My WHY

For the last decade my work has focused on helping adults with their emotional wellbeing and during this time I have also been on my own healing journey. Over time, I noticed how our society has a firm tendency to encourage the suppression of emotions and even treat them as the enemy, which eventually leads to disharmony, imbalance, anxiety, depression, rage & disease.

In 2023 my eldest was due to start full time school at 5yrs old. I decided to homeschool him, since he wasn’t yet ready for full time school and I wanted his education to be founded upon emotional wellbeing and connection to nature.

During our time homeschooling I started running sessions for the kids that wove in emotional wellbeing and nature connection and my passion for working with children in this way was born. After some time, it became evident that our homeschooling journey needed to come to an end and my children now happily go to school. The have personalities that tend to like structure, routine, socialising all day and space apart from each other, which is something I could not provide them whilst homeschooling.

But I still have a strong passion for creating community in a way that connects children and adults to nature while providing them emotional wellbeing activities. This is way I started the playgroup and parents group.
